1. Information We CollectA. Photo processing (On-Device Only)
Photo processing The core functionality of Studio Lights involves processing your photos to apply lighting effects.
Processing Details: We use on-device machine learning (Apple Vision & CoreML) to detect:
Scene Understanding: To analyze the structure of the photo for realistic lighting.
Body Pose: Identifying general joint positions (e.g., shoulders, knees) to correctly position lights. We do not collect biometric face data.
Subject Segmentation: To separate the person from the background.
No Uploads: We do not upload your photos to any cloud servers. Your original and edited photos remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to share them.
B. Usage Data (Analytics & Attribution)We use third-party services to collect anonymous usage and attribution data to improve the App and measure advertising effectiveness.
We collect:
Device Information: Device model (e.g., iPhone 13), operating system version, and general location (country/region).
Interaction Data: Which features you use (e.g., Presets, Light controls), session duration, app installs, app launches, and navigation paths within the App.
Performance Data: App stability, crash reports, and processing times for AI features.
Configuration Metrics: Anonymous configuration data regarding how lighting tools and parameters are utilized. This helps us understand common usage patterns to optimize the application's default settings and user interface.
Advertising Identifiers: If you grant permission via the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, we may collect your IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) to attribute app installs to our advertising campaigns on Meta platforms.
We do NOT collect:
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number.
Precise location data (GPS).
The content of your photos.
Biometric Identifiers for Identification: We do not store any biometric templates or use this data to identify you. All landmark data is ephemeral and discarded after the editing session.
2. How We Use InformationWe use the collected anonymous data for the following purposes:
App Improvement: To understand which features are most popular and which need refinement.
Performance Optimization: To identify devices where the app may be running slowly or crashing.
Feature Development: To analyze general lighting preferences (e.g., popular colors) to improve future updates.
3. Third-Party ServicesTextWe use the following third-party services:
Google Firebase: Provided by Google, Inc. Firebase helps us analyze usage patterns. Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Meta (Facebook) SDK: We use Meta’s tools, including Aggregated Event Measurement (AEM), to track app installs and specific events (e.g., "Activate App"). This helps us measure the success of our ads while maintaining user privacy. Meta's use of this data is governed by the Meta Data Policy.
4. Your ChoicesTracking Transparency: You can choose to opt-out of tracking by selecting "Ask App Not to Track" when prompted by the iOS ATT dialog.Uninstall: You can stop all information collection by uninstalling the App.
5. Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, providing notice within the App.
